PRESS RELEASE

17th October 2012 - SuperTooth, a leading manufacturer of portable audio accessories, today launches the Disco2 and Melody in the UK. The Disco2 freestanding wireless speakers and the Melody wireless headphones/hands-free kit will connect easily to any Bluetooth A2DP device allowing users to enjoy high quality music streaming anytime, anywhere.

Following on from the success of the original Disco, SuperTooth introduces the stylish Disco2. With its new slim design and funky shape, this compact speaker operates using Bluetooth version 4.0 and can stream music wirelessly from any Bluetooth A2DP device, ranging from a smartphone or tablet computer to an MP3 player.

Up to ten hours of music can be enjoyed on-the-go from a two hour charge, with no need to compromise on sound, as the Disco2 preserves the quality of audio files and optimises them as they are being streamed from a device supporting aptX protocol technology. The Disco2 speakers have an operating range of up to ten metres and can be controlled using any Bluetooth AVRCP device. With its two powerful speakers on the front and its high-efficiency bass-reflex system at the back of the unit, it delivers 16 watts of sound.

As with the Disco2, any Bluetooth A2DP device can stream wirelessly to the Melody headphones. For added convenience an omni-directional in-built microphone allows the user to make hands-free calls. The Melody headphones will automatically stop your music for the duration of the call, allowing the user to switch from one to the other with the utmost ease. The Melody headphones have an operating range of 10 metres and come with controls placed directly on the side of the headset to access music controls from Bluetooth AVRCP-enabled devices as well as controls to answer mobile phone calls.

Offering talk time/music play time of 7.5 hours from a charge of 45 minutes, the Melody headphones are designed to be incredibly compact with a foldable design making them easy to take anywhere, even when space is tight. They combine this convenient design with a stylish appearance and come in a range of colours including blue, purple, green, orange, grey and black.

"SuperTooth is in the unusual position of owning its own factory, meaning that we manage and operate the entire production and supply chain processes from start to finish," said Yves Le Reun, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "We believe this provides us with advanced possibilities for new technology and gives us greater control over the quality of our products, which can be seen with the latest products".

"With a presence in more than 40 countries, SuperTooth has sold more than six million devices worldwide, reaching a 45% market share worldwide in 2011 in the Bluetooth speakerphone space and we intend to build on this further."
