Blue Microphones (Blue) today announces its collaboration with UK-based Online Music Awards 2012 (www.onlinemusicawards.org), which provide unsigned artists with the opportunity to showcase their talents to a global audience and win some prizes in the process. Blue is sponsoring the Best Urban Act category and will be providing a Yeti - professional-quality USB microphone - to each category winner.
The Online Music Awards launched in 2010 and are the world's first and only online-based awards. Seeking out the best, unsigned artists, the Awards attract a global audience of musicians, fans and industry leaders from a wide range of musical genres.
A panel of industry experts will spend hours listening to each and every nomination and choose the top five acts in each category (Best Rock Act, Best Pop Act, Best Dance Act, Best International Unsigned Act, Best Music Video and Best Urban Act) based on originality, presentation, lyrics, arrangement, musicality and vocals. Once the judges have chosen the top five, the general public gets to vote. The acts with the most votes win.
