LAS VEGAS, 5 January, 2011 – LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator, today launched its extended range of 3D TVs for 2011, including the world’s first LED Cinema 3D™ (passive 3D) TV range available to consumers. The brand’s impressive new 3D range, revealed at 2011 International CES, also includes new Active 3D plasma and Full LED NANO screens, making 40 per cent of its 2011 TV range 3D ready and demonstrating LG’s continued commitment to offering consumers the widest range of 3D products.
LG’s unique Cinema 3D™ technology provides a true home cinema experience with shared viewing that’s perfect for families and friends. The new LED range is comprised of three models [LW450U, LW550T and LW650T] with screen sizes from 32” to 55” and a variety of features, including Smart TV technology for the best of the internet on the big screen. LG continues to be the only manufacturer offering consumers both active and Cinema 3D™ technologies, reflecting the brand’s resolve to bring consumers the broadest choice as Sky’s first choice for 3D TV.
LG announced that it is also continuing to develop the brand’s range of 3D Ready Full LED NANO and OLED screens. As the first to launch Full LED NANO screens at IFA in 2010, LG revealed a further two screens [LW770T and LW950T] at 2011 International CES today, demonstrating a continued investment in leading 3D Home Entertainment technologies. Full LED NANO provides a combination of ultra slim depth and sleek bezel design with unrivalled picture quality by using micro pixel control (local dimming) technology, creating truly stunning TVs.
LG also revealed a host of new Active 3D plasma screens, with new models including PW450T, PZ250T, PZ550T, PZ570T and PZ950T. LG’s 3D plasma TVs are available in 42 – 60” screen sizes with fantastic features, including THX 3D Certification, making them perfect for large screen cinematic viewing.
To compliment LG’s broad range of 3D TVs for 2011, the new 3D audio visual products promise to create the ultimate 3D home cinema experience for consumers, including the HX996TS Real 3D Sound Home Cinema System..
