PRESS RELEASE
Henley-on-Thames 14 July 2010 - faceVsion today announced the launch of their range of video conferencing products to the UK market, bringing high quality HD resolution video to life for Skypeusers.
Founded by Quanta, a fortune 500 company and the world's leading netbook and notebook manufacturer with 30% of the global market share, faceVsion specialises in developing high definition video communication solutions for use over the internet, without the need for a leased line.
faceVsion's Chief Operating Officer, William Tan, said,
‘The UK is a very important territory for us and a successful launch here will help to raise awareness and increase our presence across Europe as a whole, a key objective for faceVsion over the next few months.'
The first product to launch in the UK is the TouchCam N1. Retailing at around £90 inc. VAT, it offers unparalleled video conferencing quality at an affordable price, making it an ideal product for small businesses and for families and friends to stay touch around the world.
The TouchCam N1 is unique in that Skype automatically switches to true high definition 720p quality with 16:9 aspect ratio. The true HD resolution is made possible by the fact that the H.264 encoder is built into the camera itself, saving valuable processing space.
The 78 degrees field of view auto-focusing lens means that several people can easily use the product at the same time and its unidirectional dual microphones offer superior audio with a low amount of background noise.
The TouchCam N1 easily fits almost any laptop or computer screen. There are no software drivers to install, the camera simply plugs into the USB drive of a laptop or PC and is instantly ready to use.
Commenting on the launch of the TouchCam N1 to the UK market, European Managing Director Darren Chen said;
"The TouchCam N1 is the only VideoCam that has with the processor built in, ensuring true HD resolution from start to finish, with no upscaling. Its superior quality makes video conferencing a viable option for small businesses, saving them valuable time and money. For families and friends, it is the closest thing to being there in person.'
The TouchCam N1 will be available in the UK from the end of July 2010 and will be distributed by FaceVsions's master distributor, Imago.
