The average UK household claims to have 2.3 TVs which loosely equates to; one main TV set which takes pride of place in the living room and 1-2 second TVs located in bedrooms or kitchens. Most second TVs are casualties of technology evolution, they were most likely originally the household’s main set until new technologies and designs meant that they were no longer cut out to be centre piece of a home’s entertainment system. This also means that most second TV sets are outdated. The new HT11 provides the perfect excuse to condemn those dreary old TVs to the TV graveyard.

The most important design feature for a second TV is size. The HT11 offers a practical yet reasonable 19” screen and because it can be quite hard to place a TV set in a convenient viewable location in a bedroom/kitchen/office it features a super wide viewing angle of 170º to ensure visual perfection no matter where you watch from. The HT11 can also moonlight as a computer monitor with a wealth of connectivity such as HDMI and VGA.

Having a smaller screen does not mean performance has to be sacrificed, the HT11 boasts a HD ready 1280 x 1024 resolution, twin TV tuners including a digital tuner delivering the full Freeview channel line up and 252 page Teletext. It also boasts; a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time and a brightness of 300cd/m², as well as, a wealth of connectivity including HDMI input to hook up to state of the art add-on devices such as games consoles.

Being a second set doesn’t mean design should be overlooked. HANNspree is renowned for its designer TV’s and the HT11 has received a bit of the HANNspree design magic. Its piano black surround and sophisticated lines are extremely elegant and can inject style and modernism into any room.

The HT11 is available now for £189 inc. VAT from www.misco.co.uk
