The British audio brand launches an Amazon Alexa compatible speaker like no other, forgoing the de facto cylinder, instead delivering true vintage style.

British audio brand VQ today announces the launch of Hepburn Alexa a uniquely styled addition to the Amazon Voice Activated Speaker market, delivering premium sound as well as premium looks.

In Hepburn Alexa, VQ have evolved the traditional thinking that Amazon Alexa speakers should be cylindrical, instead opting to integrate Alexa into one of their most iconic radio shapes – Hepburn. In doing so VQ have created a vintage styled Amazon Alexa speaker for those that want a little more style from their voice-activated speakers.

Hepburn Alexa does everything you’ve come to expect from an Amazon Alexa speaker, you can ask to play music, hear the news, check weather, control smart home devices, and more. Alexa lives in the cloud, so it’s always getting smarter, adding new capabilities that are delivered to your device automatically. Using Alexa on your Hepburn is simple and hands-free – just ask, and Alexa will respond instantly.

Hepburn Alexa does so much more, with dedicated Bluetooth and Aux-in modes which mean you can use Hepburn as a standalone speaker outside of Amazon Voice Control Services. Just turn the dial to those modes and use it as you would any conventional speaker.

VQ is first and foremost an audio brand, with design studios in the British countryside, so the acoustic experience is as important as the ease of use. As such Hepburn Alexa features 2x ultra-wide full range 10W stereo speakers for a room filling output, this is further enhanced through the integration of Digital Sound Processing technology and can even be user refined with a built-in EQ to tune bass and treble.

One of the most practical features of Hepburn Alexa is portability, with the addition of a battery pack (sold separately) – Hepburn Alexa can be moved from room to room or even outdoors. With this portability specifically in mind, Hepburn Alexa has been designed with dual optimised WiFi Antennas which helps maintain a stable internet connection even at extended range from your router.

Hepburn Alexa will launch in a choice of three colours; Black, Grey and White – all of which feature copper detailing on the buttons, dial and handle brackets further enhancing the sophisticated vintage style. Thanks to VQ’s ever growing listing of design partners, which currently include; Emma Bridgewater, Laura Ashley and Lulu Guinness, you can also expect to see designer print versions very soon.
