The company is the first photographic retailer in the UK to link in-store photo printing kiosks to its online photo printing centre – Jessops Picture House, located at www.jessops.com.
The move means that customers can now go into any Jessops store and print pictures they have previously uploaded to their account at Jessops Picture House, as well as being able to upload pictures to their online account from the kiosks.
Brian Linnington, Marketing and E-Commerce Director from Jessops explains: “Kiosks have been a popular feature of our stores for a few years, and allow customers to take in their memory card or CD and turn their digital images into prints or photo gifts.
“The new kiosks link to Jessops Picture House, enabling customers to create or enter their existing online account while in store, and opt to order prints or photo gifts, upload, print, share or store any of their digital images.
“It means our customers can benefit from the added convenience of integrating their in-store and online photo printing, including easy access to all of their photos wherever they are, and the fact that there will be no need to upload images to Jessops Picture House that have already been printed in-store.”
The new internet-linked, chip and pin payment kiosks are located in Jessops stores across the UK.
The link to Jessops Picture House is expected to increase repeat orders of photos, encourage customers sharing images with friends and family, and attract those looking for time savings on high-quality digital printing.
The new innovation is the latest initiative from Jessops to integrate its online and in-store operations. The company already operates print@Store, enabling Jessops Picture House customers to collect their photos and photo gifts from a nominated store, and collect@Store, where customers can order products from www.jessops.com and collect them in-store.
