There's a decision to be made when it comes to watching a modern blockbuster movie. Whether you've made the trip to the local cinema or you're tuning in from the comfort of your own home with a big-screen TV or projector, there's typically a choice of 2D or 3D viewing modes.
It is true that some movies are better in a certain format, and the quality of the screening can be equally important, plus there are economic factors to contend with; 3D tends to come with a price premium attached.
Some believe that 3D was merely a fad that will soon disappear from memory, but that doesn't appear to be the case at the box office. A couple of weeks ago I was eager to book tickets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi on IMAX, only to find that of the 40-odd IMAX cinemas in the UK, only one was taking bookings for 2D IMAX screenings with the rest pushing 3D.
The industry clearly favours one format over the other, but how about you, the consumers? For this week's question we're asking how do you prefer to watch movies: 2D or 3D? Let us know your preference, and your reasons why, using the comments facility below.
