Too tempting?
TV tuner specialist AVerMedia is taking the bold step of combining GPS technology with its latest tuner – the Volar 805 – creating a dilemma for anyone using it to make their laptop into a satnav device.
The unit isn’t ready for the retail channel in the UK yet as AverMedia is still applying the finishing touches, but we can probably expect it before the end of Q3.
It seems that the target market may be consumers looking for a low cost entry into GPS technology as the SKU is likely to cost around 120 USD.
