Owl acquisition shows Midwich is no pussycat
Owl Visual Systems, which recently went into administration citing commoditisation (i.e. price dropping) of the projector market as a key factor, has been rescued by East Anglian distributor Midwich.
Midwich has a strong presence in the audio-visual sector and will be backing itself to cope with the current competitive environment better than Owl did. Owl specialises in projectors and large screen displays.
It will continue to operate Owl, which has 20 staff and a turnover of £15 million, as an independent subsidiary.
