London, 11th March 2019 – Japanese technology company Sharp extends its marketing team in Europe, with the new position of European Marketing Director filled by Kai Thielen.
After returning to the European market in 2016, Sharp is undergoing a new strategic positioning with a strong focus on its consumers. Sharp is to strengthen its European organisational power by increasing human resources in marketing.
Following positions at Sony and Bauknecht/Whirlpool, Thielen became Trade Marketing Manager at LG in 2003. As Head of Integrated Marketing Thielen held overall responsibility for LG’s brand communication in Germany since 2012, and played a key role in the successful restart and development of the marketing function at the new location in Eschborn.

In his position as European Marketing Director Kai Thielen directly reports to Sascha Lange, European Vice President Sales & Marketing.
