More mobility

Soon after meeting Samy Mustafa - the EMEA director of mobile power supply maker Innergie - we both concluded that we share a common challenge: making power supplies sexy. OK, maybe sexy is aiming too high, but it can't be denied that PSUs are hardly the glamour end of the tech business.

However, Innergie has addressed that challenge by identifying itself with the mobile device market, which certainly has no lack of buzz about it right now. As we become ever more dependent on our mobile devices, argues Mustafa, the need to keep them charged up becomes ever greater.

In our latest HEXUS.TalkingShop - after an admittedly lengthy hiatus - Mustafa explains the strategy behind Innergie, which has only been in existence for a short time - and demonstrates some of its new products.

Innergie is owned by Delta - the world's biggest power supply maker, which makes PSUs for many PC companies, including Apple. Innergie is its own end-user brand, in much the same way as Foxconn represents Hon Hai in the market, and so has the backing to take the market by storm.

what would be the output voltage? I've seen laptops that require 12V input and up to 20V and I'm sure I haven't seen them all.
