Benchmarks: GPU

The Core i5-7200U is a capable dual-core CPU and with integrated HD 620 graphics, will handle everyday multimedia duties without kicking up a fuss. Don't, however, be expecting to play the latest games at an ubiquitous 1080p resolution.

Intel's HD 620 IGP carries the same number of execution units (24) as the previous-generation HD 520, and in-game performance is inevitably no match for a discrete GPU. The 3DMark result at the top of the page is unusually low - we're putting that down to the Futuremark benchmark not playing well with the Kaby Lake architecture - and real-world FPS in recent titles reveals that while the less-demanding games such as Dirt Rally can be rendered smoothly, newer DX12 titles will stutter badly even with low-quality settings.
