CPU Tests

CPU tests stress CPU-bound performance on the test systems using CPU-based image rendering and MP3 encoding tools.

LAME MP3 Encoding

LAME MP3 Encoding

Prescott-based Pentium 4 is quite adept at this test, although nowhere near as much as older Pentium 4 Northwood was. 169 seconds is exactly what we expect, the FB77 mainboard allowing the Shuttle to post a correct score.

Kribibench v1.1

Kribibench v1.1

Kribibench renders shaded 3D models entirely using your CPU. Again, in absolute terms the DFI is slightly ahead, although the average result shown here is within a margin of error; one set of the three runs done to take the average showed the FB77 ahead.

Realstorm 2004

Realstorm 2004

Realstorm 2004 is a real-time 3D renderer that shows you moving 3D scenes with advanced effects, rendered entirely on your CPU, bypassing any dedicated 3D hardware in your system. FB77's result matches the DFI's exactly, after the averages were taken. Shuttle seem to have taken the same route to fast LGA775 and Canterwood performance as DFI have, both offering high performance.
