Benchmarks: Power Draw and Temperature
Performance has been admirable thus far, however power consumption and temperature are higher than we'd like. The Skylake-powered Brix pulls around 35 watts from the wall when working flat out, and that figure only falls to 18 watts when the system is idling.
Temperatures are on the high side, too, and as stated earlier, the single internal fan has to work hard in order to keep heat in check, resulting in a whiny noise that can be off-putting in a quiet environment.
