Benchmarks: CPU and memory
The Intel Compute Stick features roughly 25 per cent of the single-threaded performance of the ULV Haswell and Broadwell CPUs found in the Intel NUCs. That gap shrinks dramatically when moving into multi-threaded workloads since the Compute Stick is a true quad-core chip while Intel's NUCs are mostly dual-core hyper-threaded parts.
Memory performance is about 75 per cent of the Haswell ULV parts and, it's important to consider, the Compute Stick runs in single-channel mode compared to dual-channel on the two NUC devices. In short, memory performance is impressive for such a compact and low power device.
