With Far Cry 1.33, the G80 graphics are only 15-16 per cent behind the pair of X1950 XTX cards in the older MESH, showing just how much grunt is available from NVIDIA's new GPU.

The difference between the CrossFire PC and the G80-based systems is more pronounced with Splinter Cell, but their frame rates are still more than comfortably playable even at 1,920 x 1,200 with high quality settings. Unsurprisingly, though, there's nothing to separate the QX from the SCAN.

Quake 4 never was ATI's strong point. A single GeForce 8800 GTX is more than enough to trounce a pair of Radeon X1950 XTX cards - even at HD resolutions and Ultra Quality settings.
