The two regular-sized base units feature a couple of hard drives each in JBOD mode. The Shuttle's single Samsung 400GB SpinPoint P133 has decent sustained read speed but isn't the fastest for random accesses.





The P2 3700G is equipped with 8 usable USB2.0 and 2 FireWire400 ports, and both sets work well enough when transferring data from external sources.
