Memory tests and single-threaded performance

Memory bandwidth and latency aren't as good as the two comparison systems'. Shuttle uses DDR2 memory that's run at an effective 533MHz, whereas the Alienware and MESH boxes pack in DDR2 operating at 800MHz and 890MHz, respectively.

So it's surprising to see the P2 3700G beat out the Alienware system in the bandwidth-limited and single-threaded HEXUS Pifast test, which computes the constant to 10M places.
