One advantage of a barebone system is that you get to choose your storage device of choice. The above results depict the performance on offer from a 180GB Intel mSATA SSD, which is understandably quick and ideal for use as a system drive. Interesting to note, however, that the same SSD delivered better write performance in the Brix Pro, we can only put that down to drive wear and degredation.
