Benchmarks: Temperature

Keeping components cool is a challenge for any all-in-one PC, and the PowerGlide Extreme does well to keep idle CPU temperature down to a comfortable 36ºC.

Putting the Core i5 processor under maximum load by applying Prime95 to all four cores sees temperature shoot up, but 73ºC in this scenario is again comfortably within the chip's limits.

The biggest challenge, it seems, is the GeForce graphics card. During a stint of Aliens vs. Predator, we recorded a maximum GPU temperature of 88ºC. That's a little higher than we'd like to see, but there's no obvious cause for concern; our test system didn't feel overly hot and the graphics card happily continued to ramp up to higher speeds using NVIDIA's GPU Boost technology.
