Intel's 600p Series SSD offers a good mix of capacity and speed at a reasonable price. The 512GB drive on show here delivers sequential read and write speeds in excess of 1,000MB/s and 500MB/s, respectively. Such numbers aren't lofty by today's standards, but the drive doesn't make a huge dent in the overall budget - users desperate to see higher benchmarks could upgrade to a 500GB Samsung 960 Pro at a cost of £77 but the real-world benefit is likely to be minimal.
