The GeForce GTX 1080 has since been superseded by the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, offering almost 30 per cent more performance at GPU-constrained resolutions. The launch time of the Corsair One is a tad unfortunate insofar as there's not been time to qualify a liquid-cooled model of the GTX 1080 Ti, and though the company has been quiet on this front, we fully expect either an air- or liquid-cooled model to pop up in the near future.

As it is, the GTX 1080 remains a fine GPU in its own right.

At the outset, we were concerned that spatial limitations could cause the GTX 1080 card to throttle, but the 98.4 per cent Time Spy Stress Test rating - which, incidentally, the GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition fails - is good enough.

These benchmarks use the same ultra/high settings as our premium graphics card reviews, meaning you can cross-compare to a reasonable degree.

A mild overclock on Core i7-7700K and a liquid-cooled GTX 1080 return excellent numbers at FHD, very solid figures at QHD, but can struggle at UHD. Our advice would be to pair the Corsair One Pro with either a fast-refresh FHD or decent QHD G-Sync monitor.
