PCMark 8 uses a bunch of traces to mimic different types of usage. As each application is run in isolation, the opportunities of one consumer drive absolutely bludgeoning another is remote. It's the hardest, heaviest trace - Photoshop Heavy - that shows a difference between the single MLC and two TLC drives.
The upshot of this set of benchmarks is that, during regular usage, most users won't notice the real-world difference between these SSDs.
