Fresh, out-of-the-box performance is useful in seeing if the drives live up to their specification billing. The BX200 960GB is strong in reads but isn't as competitive as what we'd term an upper-midrange drive - the SK hynix SC300 - when transferring 4K files with a very heavy queue depth of 32 concurrent users.
