Power consumption, for a five-bay NAS, is also admirable. The DS1515 drew just 21 watts from the wall when all drives entered standby, and under-load power draw peaked at 44 watts. The numbers aren't too dissimilar to a four-bay Intel NAS, and the daily running costs are hardly to going to make a dent in business finances.
