On to PCMark 7, which simulates real-world usage scenarios to give us an idea of everyday performance. The numbers speak for themselves; no 120GB drive has ever fared this well, and out-the-box performance, for £87, is simply excellent.
Throw a bit of RAPID Mode into the mix and the 840 EVO moves into a class of its own and becomes the first 2.5in SATA 6Gbps SSD to score in excess of 6,000 marks.
