The ARM-based PLX NAS 7821 processor doesn't pack the biggest punch, but on the flip side it's very energy efficient. We measured maximum power draw as just 23 watts, and that figure drops to 18 watts when idle or 9 watts in sleep mode. By default, the KD20 puts the hard drives into sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity.
