The ATTO Disk benchmark works with small file sizes and acts as a good indication of a drive's maximum sequential throughput.
OCZ's Synapse is blazing fast when hooked up via SATA 6Gbps, but Corsair's Accelerator is limited by the 280MB/s maximum speed of its SATA 3Gbps interface.
And if you don't have SATA 6Gbps connectivity, that's no reason to rule out the Synapse drive. The interface is backward-compatible, allowing it to run just fine in a SATA 3Gbps system - albeit at limited speeds.
