Benchmark: Iometer
Our 22GB Iometer test file is able to reside entirely in the cache, and subsequent runs show a visible boost in performance when bombarding the drive with an onslaught of random 4K reads and writes.
The synthetic benchmarks all suggest that the cache is working a treat, and performance in these scenarios is equivalent to that of a top-notch SSD. But how will these synthetic results translate to real-world usage?
