Benchmark: Iometer
Incompressible data might not be the SandForce controller's strong point, but random input/output operations per second (IOPs) most certainly are.
In our Iometer test - which involves an onslaught of random 4KB read and writes - a single 120GB Force Series GT scores just over 44,000 IOPs and putting two together raises the numbers of IOPs to over 70,000. Patriot's Wildfire continues to have the edge in single-drive performance, but there's plenty of speed on offer here and Corsair's Force GT storms ahead of the Crucial m4 in this demanding benchmark.
