There's remarkable variation in SandForce SF-2281 drives in the AS SSD test, too. Both ADATA and Corsair (Force 3) use IMFT NAND - and score similarly - while Patriot opts for Toggle Mode NAND on the Wildfire.

Using the two drives as one contiguous block of storage increases single-drive performance by 70 per cent; it's still not enough to challenge two similarly RAIDed drives from Crucial.
