Starting off as a cold boot and ending with the Gadwin PrintScreen pop-up's appearance in Windows 7 Home Premium, the SSD beats the pants off a 160GB, 7,200rpm drive. Naturally, you don't hear it seeking whilst running through the boot sequence.

Windows 7 has a built in Experience Index. The SSD scores 7.2 and the mechanical drive a 5.9, out of a possible 7.9. Anything over 6.0 is considered 'good' by Windows.
