It is a shame we don't have another 7GB/s-capable drive in the charts. The Samsung 980 Pro would have made an ideal performance comparison.
As it is, we can still determine the absolute benefits of the WD Black SN850, and we're looking at a 40 per cent read speed benefit and close to that on 4K writes at low queue depths compared to other PCIe 4.0 models.
