Notes
We have tested from the ground-up using a fresh, up-to-date Windows build and the latest BIOS on the Asus Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi motherboard.
Putting the performance into context, we have compared the Trident Z Neo against our go-to solution of G.Skill's Trident Z 32GB DDR4-3200 with 14-14-14-34 latencies. This set it used for all CPU and graphics benchmarks and, we reckon, is the gold standard for enthusiast memory. It's a question of timings versus frequency.
Adding a same-capacity HyperX DDR4-3466 CL19 pack provides useful insight into the benefits, if any, of running with faster RAM, as specified on the Trident Z Neo.
