Corinex setup and online gaming test

The CD bundled with the Corinex GameNet contains a PDF user's manual and quick-start guide. The manual has to be accessed through a drop-down box, which makes the interface a little clunky, but it's still simple to use.

Installation

We simply plugged one AV200 adapter into our MSI test platform, another into our office network and powered up. Our MSI test platform found the internet connection right away. The Corinex proves truly to be plug-and-play out of the box for its target market.

Online gaming performance

An online gaming test is perhaps the most representative test of the GameNet's real-world usage. The device is primarily targeted at console gamers wary of dropped, degraded or simply low-performance Wi-Fi reception affecting their gameplay experience, whilst at the same time wanting a simple-to-set-up network connection.

We loaded up an online game of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and it played without any noticeable lag. Moving the adapter connecting to our network to the far side of our offices still allowed a smooth, lag-free gaming experience

The Corinex, it seems, simply works.
