Power consumption is right in line with expectations - 10 watts with the drives in standby is highly efficient for a powerful four-bay unit - and noise levels are kept right down. You can barely hear the single cooling fan, and though the 8TB Seagate drives are noisier than the retired WD Reds, the NAS is never overly loud.
