Brightness, Contrast Ratio, Black Level
The screen does well enough in these tests. Without even resorting to specific measuring equipment such as the Datacolor, we found it to be more than bright enough at 50 per cent, and we settled on 40 per cent for day-to-day usage.
Blacks are solid rather than inky and contrast is reasonable. As is the norm with these types of panels, looking at it anything other than completely head-on results in a washed-out image.
That can be a problem due to the lack of height adjustment for the stand. Our desk position is such that obtaining the optimum image required putting a spacer - a motherboard box in this instance - underneath the base.
Though not shown by these graphs, moving a cursor very quickly across the screen highlighted a small ghosting issue, too.
