CPU Tests

A trio of tests that are predominantly CPU-bound let us see if the CPU is allowed to work well with the core logic. Kribibench starts us off.

KribiBench v1.1

KribiBench v1.1

The nForce4 Ultra reference board powers the CPU to a rough 1% win over K8T800 Pro. There's never much in it when you're CPU bound.

nForce4 Ultra's LAME score bests that of the K8T800 Pro comparison platform. It's less than 1%, making both platforms essentially identical in real-world, CPU-bound performance using the same CPU.

Realstorm 2004

Realstorm 2004

Realstorm 2004 is the latest version in the Realstorm benchmark series, a series we've been using for nigh on two years now. AMD processors are traditionally strong here and with the same CPU, we can see if core logic has any significant effect.

A fraction of 1% separates them again, but for the third CPU benchmark in a row, the nod goes to the nForce4 Ultra. Impressive performance from the reference board on an early BIOS.
