An Athlon Model 3800+ and ASUS A8V Deluxe combination is only bested by the even more expensive S939 FX-53. Kind of makes you wonder why you need to spend more. A breakdown of the score can be found right over here, Impressive going for something you can buy right off the shelf, so to speak.

Even half an FX-53's cache doesn't stop our test combination from recording an excellent result in Comanche 4, does it?.

Even though it is definitely not the case, our custom bot match seems perfectly suited to the Athlon 64's on-die memory controller. A 2.4GHz AMD Model 3800+ benchmarks over 25% faster than a 3.4GHz Pentium 4 - MHz isn't everything. It's already clear that any S939 CPU will make for a fearsome gaming machine.
