With its onboard memory controller, the MSI's AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 excels in memory bandwidth terms.



But this doesn't mean its memory latency is better. The Foxconn's Northbridge-based controller actually proved slightly quicker to react in ScienceMark's tests.





As most people have come to realise, the Core 2 Duo currently trounces the best AMD has to offer, as evidenced by the Pifast and KribiBench synthetic benchmarks.
