3DMark 2001SE, C4, SS2

Gaming begins with 3DMark 2001SE build 330. All gaming benchmarks are conducted at 1024x768x32 unless otherwise stated.

The Athlon 64 3200+ / VIA K8T800 combination does the unthinkable and spanks the P4 3.2GHz around. VIA's PT880 does pretty well to close in on the 19,000-mark barrier. Only decent Canterwood boards and PAT-enabled Springdales have managed to surpass it. The PT880 does well in bandwidth tests, such as the lobby benchmarks. For a breakdown of its scores head here. On a realistic note, I couldn't tell the visual difference between any of the chipsets' 3DMark 2001SE runs.

Another smooth, credible performance here. Hell, if the reference board's Northbridge was marked as an i875P we reckon that 90% of users wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

It falls around 1FPS behind the ABIT Canterwood. Nothing to get worried about, really.
