3DMark 2001SE, C4, SS2
We'll be addding in the results from the onboard GeForce4 MX graphics in the gaming section. 3DMark 2001SE kicks it off.If you understand the architecture that underpins the 2GHz Athlon 64 CPU, you won't be too shocked to see it displace a well-tuned i875P board and 3.2GHz P4 CPU. There's almost 1,300 marks between the M7NCG 400 in DDR400 and DDR333 modes; a testament to just how much memory bandwidth and lower latencies matter. The onboard score is quite impressive for a GPU that cannot run the DX8 nature test. For a breakdown of individual scores, head over to the following links K8NHA-M, M7NCG / DC DDR400, M7NCG / GeForce4 MX. Hugely impressive lobby test scores from the nForce3 150 / A64 3200+ pairing.
The leader of the pack remains the K8NHA-M. If it's performance that you hanker for in a mATX format, there's little to currently touch the Athlon 64. The nF2 onboard graphics make a reasonable stab at Serious Sam 2.
The above graph echoes much of what has gone before.
