Benchmarks II

Gaming and 3DMark 2001SE. Run at its default resolution of 1024x768x32. Higher marks equate to better performance.

Whilst lagging behind the two comparative leaders, the P4B Ultra does well when directly compared with the two motherboards running single-channel DDR memory at PC2700 speeds. The extra 20MHz of clock-speed over its comparison motherboards must count for something here.

On to Serious Sam 2. We're benchmarking the publicly available Valley of the Jaguar Timedemo, one that is heavily reliant on subsystem speed, at 1024x768x32 Normal preferences.

Once again the P4B Ultra puts up a decent performance. The newest Hyperion 4.45 drivers seem to do the trick here. Older drivers returned a score of around 93 FPS.

On to Comanche 4. Again at 1024x768x32.

Decent performances all round here.
