Benchmarks III

On to UT2003 demo's inbuilt benchmark. It covers 2 flybys and 2 bot matches. An average is taken for each section. Run at 800x600. First the flyby average.

Incredibly similar results once again. To think that 2 different platforms with 2 different processors can benchmark within 0.38 FPS of each other is amazing. The greater usable bandwidth that 166FSB brings sees the AMD-based platform take the lead for the first time in the gaming benchmarks.

How about the bot matches ?.

Lastly, although it appears like a P4 benefit, we'll see how they fare in Q3. Run at 512 Fastest.

There's just something about the P4 architecture that lends itself to the Q3 engine. That's not to say that 300 FPS is slow, far from it.
