Benchmarks III

It's all pretty close so far, how about gaming ?. 3DMark 2001SE, as always, starts off the proceedings.

No surprises here. The faster the base memory, the higher the score. The DDR333 chipsets are covered by 150 marks. Inconsequential in real terms. If you want to see the breakdown of the MAX2 V2's score, head over here.

On to Serious Sam: The Second Encounter. Benchmarked using normal settings and the system-taxing Valley of the Jaguar Timedemo in the publicly available demo. 1024x768x32 Normal settings.

The ABIT IT7-MAX2 v2.0 continues to do well here: once again just nudging ahead of the equally impressive SiS648 motherboard. The P4X400's performance takes something of a nosedive here.

More of the same here, although the P4X400 manages to fare a little better this time.
