Performance Conclusion

If you were expecting the BG7 to slap the other systems around here and show them all how it's done, I'm sorry to disappoint. The performance from the BG7, while not disappointing wasn't ever going to be hugely different from the other systems on test, especially the other 2 that shared the same chipset.

Performance was strong across the board and it was exactly where we expected it to be which is no bad thing.

When you set the systems up the same to benchmark them, you can expect similar performance from your test systems especially if the 3 major base components, chipset, memory and CPU are the same.

So nothing to shout about but nothing to cry about either. It sounds damning towards ABIT but rest assured the BG7 is a fine performer, there or there abouts when I'm totting up the quickest board I've seen recently.

So with the performance taken care of, how does it stack up to the competion in other areas and in an overall sense.
