Remember we thought the 249W system-wide power draw was high for the MSI board. Aorus' decision to run at an all-core 4.9GHz leads to even greater power draw from the socket.

Whereas the MSI has an average 202W CPU package power, far exceeding the nominal 125W TDP, Aorus goes further by increasing voltage to 1.303V and overall package power to a whopping 226W. Ouch.

It's also a bit thirstier for gaming.
