No matter how expensive the Z490 board, it can only run at PCIe 3.0 speeds when used with a Core i9-10900K. That means half the potential bandwidth of the AMD setup, most ably demonstrated by having the same Corsair MP600 Force Series 2TB PCIe 4.0 drive in the secondary slots.
