Overclocking

Overclocking

External clock overclocking on an S939 motherboard is, as always, dependant upon many factors, so the overall speed reached here cannot be considered indicative of ABIT Fatal1ty AN8 SLI boards as a whole. To put this into context, our first sample was steady as the proverbial rock at 331MHz HTT. The second sample could 'only' manage 309MHz HTT with identical components and settings. To test what kind of performance differences, if any, existed between ABIT and EPoX's S939 nForce4 SLI boards when run at 300MHz HTT, Pifast and 3DMark2001SE were re-run with the Athlon 64 FX-53 CPU still at ~2400MHz but with an 8x multiplier. An ATI RADEON X850 XT PE PCI-Express card was used.

Still nothing to separate them!
